Our company

Our story begins in 1999, driven by a single goal: to share the true taste of Spain with the world through our cheeses and specialties.

Each product tells a story — of the land, the people, and the care we put into every stage, from selection to aging.

Our cheeses have been recognized with national and international awards, a reflection of our commitment to excellence, innovation, and meeting our clients’ needs.

Commitment to sustainability

At Alimentias, we believe great cheese starts with respect — for tradition, for nature, and for future generations. That’s why we follow the highest global food standards (BRC and IFS) and continuously improve how we work to reduce our environmental impact.

At Finca María Paz, in Jerez de la Frontera, we’ve installed 230 solar panels, covering nearly all of the estate’s energy needs. We’ve also planted Marcona almond, Cornicabra olive, and quince trees to enhance local biodiversity and support a more sustainable future.

Across all our facilities, we actively minimize water waste and have taken steps to reduce the use of plastics and microplastics in our packaging and processes.

Our goal is simple: craft authentic Spanish cheese while protecting the land that makes it possible.

Alimentias & Don Juan

Born from a passion for cheese and a commitment to quality, Don Juan is the face of Alimentias’ Manchego cheese worldwide.

2007
Portfolio expansion

We’ve broadened our offering by partnering with over 26 cheese producers across Spain, bringing more variety and regional specialties to our clients.

2010
International reach

We grew our turnover by over 200% and expanded into Europe, Australia, and the USA — capturing 18% of the US market share.

2016-2018
Facility upgrade and certifications

We modernised our cheese plants with a new white chamber and cutting room, meeting top international standards like IFS and BRC.

2019
Don Juan redesign

A fresh new identity combining modern elegance with our rich cheesemaking heritage, designed to connect with cheese lovers worldwide.

2020-2021
Cheese caves

We completed our cheese caves in Jerez de la Frontera,
a unique space where our finest cheeses
mature to perfection.

Market leadership

With a +30% annual growth, Alimentias became Spain's second-largest Manchego cheese exporter, accounting for 15% of total production.
